“Sos Sargsyan” Cultural Foundation with the support of the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport as well as Yerevan Municipality is organizing a jubilee event dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Armenian actor Sos Sargsyan.

The jubilee event will take place on December 16 at 19:00 at Gabriel Sundukyan National Academic, the ministry of education science, culture and sport reported.

During the evening, excerpts from Sos Sargsyan’s works and his famous aphorisms will be presented that have become idioms among people. Scenes from famous films and performances will be shown as well with some of them to be screened for the first time for the audience.

The event features artists of Sundukyan National Academic and Sos Sargsyan Hamazgayin Theatres, students of  Yerevan State Institute of Cinema and Theatre, the National Chamber Choir of Armenia led by Robert Mlkeyan, National Chamber Orchestra of Armenia led by Vahan Martirossian, State Dance Ensemble “Barekamutyun” and other performers.

Sos Sargsyan started acting in 1947. Some of his most notable roles include Don Quixote, Iago, King John, King Lear, etc. He starred in over 40 films, mostly in Armenia and Russian films.
