Paylan: Only Turkish parliament can heal Armenians’ wounds
Istanbul-Armenian MP Garo Paylan representing the pro-Kurdish Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) took to Twitter to weigh in on the US Senate’s passage of the Armenian Genocide resolution.
The lawmaker stressed that the real healing for the Armenian people will come only when the Armenian Genocide is discussed in the Turkish parliament.
“The US Senate overwhelmingly passed a resolution recognizing the Armenian Genocide.
Since the great crime committed on these lands is not discussed here and justice fails to be restored, it becomes a subject of discussion in other parliaments.
Only the Turkish parliament which I am a member of can heal the Armenian people's wounds,” Paylan tweeted.
