The book by best-selling author and vaccine expert Dr. Paul Offit translated into Armenian
The Armenian translation of the book “Deadly Choices: How the Anti-Vaccine Movement Threatens Us All” by an award-winning expert on vaccines, immunology and virology was presented in Yerevan on Monday. The translation was realized by New Mag publishing house in two years through funding from Althealth Foundation.
The book has been named a bestseller and translated into10 languages. In “Deadly Choices” Paul Offit takes a look at the anti-vaccine movement and provides ample details that unequivocally establish the enormous achievement vaccination represents. The author argues that the root cause of epidemics can be traced to a group whose vocal proponents insist that vaccines are harmful, despite evidence to the contrary.
The Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Health and Social issues Narek Zeynalyan, present at the event, attached importance to the release of the Armenian translation of the book. “The book should allow the public to make an informed choice,” Zeynalyan said in his remarks.
The foreword of the Armenian translation is written by former minister of healthcare Levon Altunyan.
