A new chamber orchestra is formed in Armenia
Number of young and talented Armenian musicians have announced a plan to form a new orchestra that will perform its first concert on December 21 at Komitas Chamber Music House. As the National Centre of Chamber Music reports, the musicians of the new Chamber Orchestra named “Concertant” are united around the idea that famous music works should be presented to the public in a new way, offering a fresh approach and sound.
“With its unique timbre and performances the Orchestra will seek to gain reputation on international stages,” conductor Vahan Gevorgyan who is also the initiator of the idea noted.
The first concert of the Concertant features works by Vivaldi, Straus, Morricone and other renowned composers.
