Azerbaijan opens fire at Armenian civilian settlements
Azerbaijani military opened a fresh round of fire towards Armenian border settlements on Tuesday night, targeting the village of Koti and Ijevan-Noyemberyan highway in Tavush Province, the Armenian Defense Ministry spokesman said on Facebook.
“The operations ceased only after retaliatory fire by the Armenian Armed Forces. Firearms of various calibers and machine guns were used,” Artsrun Hovhannisyan wrote.
The Armenian army suffered no losses, he added.
Hovhannisyan had first reported Azerbaijani shelling of the Armenian civilian settlements on Tuesday, between 10-10:30pm.
