The electricity generation at solar power plants grows by 159.1% over ten months
A total of 6, 253.6 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity were generated in Armenia in January- November 2019, up by 2.7% to compare with productions volumes of the same period in 2018, Armenia's National Statistical Service (NSS) reported.
According to the NSS figures, in 2017 the electricity generation at hydro power plants dropped by 11.7%, amounting to 343.2 million kilowatt-hours, while at thermal power plants – 7.6 thousand kilowatt-hours which is 36.7% dropped against the volumes of 2017.
The electricity generation at solar power plants stood at 11.4 million kilowatt-hours, securing a growth of 159.1 % to compare with the previous year data.
In the indicated period, Armenia's Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) produced 609.4 million kilowatt-hours of electricity, securing a 4.2% rise over 2018.
