Armenian authorities thwart another drug smuggling attempt by Iranian citizen
Officers of the anti-smuggling department of Armenia’s State Revenue Committee have foiled another attempt to smuggle narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances by an Iranian citizen.
In a statement on Tuesday, the committee said its officers found a total of 3 kg of ketamine psychotropic substance and 10 grams of methamphetamine after inspecting the luggage of the citizen who had arrived at the Meghri border crossing point from Iran.
They were found inside plastic packaging in a secret luggage compartment.
A criminal case has been launched.
The smuggler has been arrested.
