Tuesday morning update on road conditions
Roadways are mostly open for traffic in the territory of Armenia as of 8:30am Tuesday, December 24, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
Vardenyats Pass is partly covered with clear ice, with truck divers recommended to use tire chains on the road.
According to the Department of Emergency Situations of Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Crisis Management Center (CMC) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, Stepantsminda-Larsi highway is open for all types of vehicles.
Drivers are strongly urged to use winter tires.
Construction works are underway on Vanadzor-Alaverdi-Bagratashen highway, as a result of which the road is closed for trucks. Dilijan-Noyemberyan-Bagratashen has been established as an alternative route.
