Reporters of Kentron TV channel attacked in Hovtashen village
Director at Epikentron news programme at Kentron TV Channel Varduhi Meltonyan submitted a complaint to police about an assault on reporters in Armenia’s Hovtashen village of Ararat province.
In a Facebook post named “Armenia’s velvet revolution, velvet morals: when the media is again targeted” Meltonyan reports that around 60 locals physically attacked the reporter and the cameramn the TV channel who had visited the place to prepare a reportage.
The video shared on Facebook shows unidentified people shouting at the journalists not to film and punching them. The footage next abruptly stops as the cameramn was physically attacjed
Meltonyan expressed hope the law enforcement will hold those responsible to account.
