Snow hits some regions in Armenia
Roadways are mostly open for traffic in the territory of Armenia as of 4pm Friday, December 27, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
Vardenyats Pass is open for trucks only in case of using tire chains. Some parts of the mountain pass are covered with clear ice.
Snowfalls are reported in Aparan town of Aragatsotn Province, Yelpin village of Vayots Dzor Province, on Gavar-Sevan, Hrazdan-Charentsavan roadways and in Vardenyats Pass.
According to the Department of Emergency Situations of Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Crisis Management Center (CMC) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, Stepantsminda-Larsi highway is closed for trucks.
Drivers are strongly urged to use winter tires.
