Streets leading to Republic square to be closed for traffic on December 31
On the occasion of the New Year celebrations, the traffic will be temporally stopped in the streets leading to the Republic square in Yerevan, the Police of Armenia reported on Saturday. According to the source, the roads will also close for pedestrians on December 31 from18:00 to 19:30 when the events will kick off. Traffic may resume operation after the end of the festive concert planned in the square.
As the Police detailed, for public safety reasons residents planning to attend the event are banned to take flammable items with them.
