Artsakh ‘concerned’ by situation in Middle East
The Artsakh Foreign Ministry has expressed concern over the situation in the Middle East, particularly the recent developments in Baghdad.
The remarks came after a US air strike in Iraq killed Qassem Soleimani, the head of Iran's elite Quds Force, and Iraqi militia commander Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.
“We hope the tensions will ease and the situation will be settled exclusively through peaceful means, ensuring regional stability and security,” the ministry said in a statement.
“The Artsakh Foreign Ministry is following the situation and is in constant contact with the partner structures of the Republic of Armenia,” the statement read.
