No Armenian citizens among Ukrainian plane crash victims – preliminary information
According to preliminary information, there were no Armenian citizens aboard the Ukrainian airplane that crashed in Iran on Wednesday, the Foreign Ministry reported.
Armenian Ambassador to Ukraine Tigran Seyranyan said the plane carried mostly Iranian passengers.
The Boeing 737 crashed shortly after takeoff from Tehran's Imam Khomeini International Airport and burst into flames, killing all 176 people aboard, Reuters reported.
Iranian TV said the crash was due to technical problems but did not elaborate.
