Armenian composer David Balasanyan wins two awards at int'l competition
Member of the Composers Union of Armenia, composer David Balasanyan has won awards for his two works at the Tenth Piano Composition Competition Fidelio Online held in Spain.
His Swinging Bach captured the second prize in the jazz piano solo category, while Drops won the third prize in the atonal contemporary piano solo category, the Composers Union reported.
61 works from 21 countries competed in the jazz category, while atonal contemporary piano solo category featured 49 compositions from 20 countries.
