Electricity production declined in Armenia for January-November 2019
In January-November 2019, a total of 6 billion 867.1million kilowatt-hours of electricity was produced in Armenia, dropping by 3.4% to compare with the same period of 2018, Armenia’s National Statistical Committee (NSS) reported in its monthly update.
According to the NSS data, in 11 months the electricity generation at terminal power plants dropped by 14.3%, amounting to 2,724.1 million kilowatt-hours, while electricity production volumes at hydropower plants rose by 4.5% totaling to 2,227.9 million kilowatt-hours.
In the mentioned period, Armenia’s Nuclear Power Plant produced 1, 899.8 million kilowatt-hours of electricity, which has increased by 6.3% to compare with the volumes of 2018.
According to the statistics, a total of 12,4 million kilowatt-hours of electricity were generated in Armenia in January-November 2019, up by 2.6 times to compare with productions volumes of 2018.
