
Ex-Armenian security chief found dead in Yerevan
Former Director of Armenia’s National Security Service Georgi Kutoyan was found dead with a gunshot wound in his apartment on Yerevan’s Paruyr Sevak Street on Friday, the Investigative Committee reported.
Representatives of the Investigative Committee have headed to the scene upon the instruction of its Chairman Hayk Grigoryan.
Investigators of the Kanaker-Zeytun Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee are working at the scene.
Kutoyan served as National Security Service chief between 2016 and 2018. He was 39 years old.
