Health condition of wounded Artsakh serviceman remains severe
The health condition of Artsakh servicemen Henry-Hayk Zakarian, who received gunshot wound on January 24 in a northern military unit of the Defense Army, remains severe, Deputy Defense Minister Gabriel Balayan told reporters at a briefing on Monday.
“The serviceman has been transferred to Yerevan. He has not undergone the second surgery as doctors still observe the dynamics of the health condition,” the deputy minister said.
The second soldier Armen Mesropyan who reportedly was wounded in the same incident is recovering and no threat is posed to his life, Balayan informed the latter will be back to service soon.
Earlier, Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan said that Henry-Hayk Zakarean shot himself in circumstances yet to be clarified. A probe into further details of the incident is underway.
