6 patients hospitalized in Armenia test negative for coronavirus
Six patients hospitalized in Armenia with suspected cases of the novel coronavirus have tested negative for both flu and the new type of virus, the Ministry of Health said in a statement.
The ministry noted that the coronavirus tests had already been delivered to the country.
“In light of this, the Ministry of Health again urges not to panic and follow the recommendations of doctors, refraining from non-professional advice and comments," the statement read.
Earlier a member of an Armenian family having returned from China said in a Facebook post that they had not undergone laboratory testing for the new virus at a Yerevan hospital, since the tests were said to be intended for those who had multiple symptoms and were in grave condition.
Meanwhile, the death toll from the coronavirus outbreak has risen to 425, with the total number of cases now standing at 20,438.
