Armenian PM offers condolences to Chinese leaders over coronavirus outbreak
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has sent condolence letters to China's President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Li Keqiang on the outbreak of coronavirus, his office reported.
The letter addressed to the Chinese president reads:
“At this difficult time for China, on behalf of the Armenian people and on my own behalf, I am extending sincere condolences and sympathy to you and to the friendly people of China over the outbreak of coronavirus, which has already claimed hundreds of lives.
During its centuries-old history, China has faced numerous challenges and always defied them with dignity. We are confident that this time again, under your provident leadership Chine will be able to overcome the consequences of this disaster and reinstate the atmosphere of safety in the country.
I wish you fortitude and perseverance, as well as great endurance to the friendly Chinese people.”
The letter addressed to the prime minister of China reads:
“On behalf of the Armenian people and on my own behalf, I offer condolences and sympathy to you and to the friendly people of China on the demise of hundreds of people caused by the outbreak of coronavirus.
I am confident that the measures taken by the Government of China under your leadership will successfully address the severe consequences of this disaster and reset the country back on track.
I wish you strength and determination, as well as endurance and fortitude to the friendly Chinese people.”
