Armenia’s is among the top five optimistic countries with Hope Index of +67, Deputy Director of MPG Gayane Dajunts, exclusive representative of the GALLUP International Association in Armenia, told a press conference on Saturday presenting the results of the latest survey by Gallup.
In her words, the survey conducted in late 2019 throughout Armenia, asked respondents questions on three topics: hope, economic optimism and happiness. When asked whether they thought 2020 would be better or worse than 2019, 62 percent of the polled said this year would be better while
only seven percent said it would be worse.
“This index has put Armenia among the top five countries, followed by Peru, Albania, Nigeria and Kazakhstan,” Dajunts said.
In the survey's Happiness Index, 60 percent of polled Armenians said they felt happy about their lives, placing the country in the seventh position of the respective index.
Overall, 45676 from 46 countries took part in the poll, Dajunts said.
