South Caucasus Railway names new director general
Alexey Melnikov has been named as the new Director General of the South Caucasus Railway company which is the rail operator in Armenia. The decision on appointment has been made by the Board of Directors of the Company.
As the statement issued by the company said, Melnikov had earlier served as the deputy head of the company responsible for economic, financial and corporate issues.
“The company continues its efficient work as its production and financial indicators grow. The cargo transportation via railway is growing amid the decline of car transportation volumes,” the statement said, adding the salaries of SRC employees are higher than the average s in Armenia and the company operates with positive financial results.
It is noted that the former director Sergey Valko has been appointed to a new position in the Russian Railways.
