152 attempts of violation of border regime prevented over the past year
Subdivisions of Border Guard Troops of Armenia’s National Security Service have prevented 152 attempt cases of violation of the RA border regime, the National Security Service said in a release. In the indicated period 26 cases of violation of border regime out of checkpoints with involvement of 26 and 92 cases of RA state border checkpoint regime violations with involvement of 179 people were revealed.
In the past year, two attempts of drug trafficking through the state border were recorded with involvement of four citizens of Armenia. In total, around 6,5 kg drugs were confiscated. In the mentioned period 2171 wanted people were detected at state border checkpoints who were handed over to the police subdivisions.
