Highways to fortress Amberd and Kari lake still closed
Armenia’s ministry of emergency situations reports that there are closed and barely passable roads in the territory of Armenia as of 17;00 on February 13.
The highways to fortress Amberd and Kari lake, Vardanyats pass are closed. There was an accumulation of 58 vehicles in Goris town: 8 passenger cars and 50 trucks. There was an accumulation of 125 vehicles in Sisian town: 6 buses, 84 trucks and 35 passenger cars. The passengers of 6 buses were the citizens of the Islamic Republic of Iran: 64 people in total were taken to nearby hotel complex.
The workers of the Police and the ministry of emergency situations patrolled the scene round the clock, MES rescue forces implemented the activities in enhanced mode.
MES again urges to be careful and continue to move in case of weather conditions improvement and passable roadways.
