Fallen hero Vladimir Narinyan would have turned 24 today
Today, February 17, marks the birthday anniversary of Vladimir Narinyan, an Armenian serviceman who died a hero’s death during the 2016 April war unleashed by Azerbaijan against Artsakh. The hero soldier would have turned 24 today.
Vladimir was born in the town of Metsamor in Armenia’s Armavir Province. Later, his family moved to Martuni, Artsakh to live there permanently. From 2003-2013 he attended one of the local schools. After graduation, Vladimir entered the Department of History of Artsakh State University.
In 2014, he was drafted into the army. Vladimir served at a military unit of Mataghis as a junior sergeant. During his service, the soldier always stood out for his professionalism, dedication and vigilance.
The hero showed great courage during the April 4 battles. He was killed after destroying a large amount of manpower of Azerbaijani military and preventing the adversary’s advancement into the defense positions.
The fallen hero was posthumously awarded with the Medal for Courage of Armenia.
