Azerbaijan continues its maximalist stance, rejecting the rights of the Artsakh people – FM
Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan received today Toivo Klaar, EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia, the press department at the foreign ministry reported. During the meeting, the interlocutors touched upon the Nagorno Karabakh peace process and the recent talks.
The need of implementation of the arrangements aimed at preparing people for peace was bilaterally stressed. In this connection, Armenian FM pointed to the need of peace statements and messages of the leaders of the respective parties, adding the Azerbaijani side continues demonstrating a maximalist stance in the public domain, rejecting the rights of the Artsakh people. In the FM’s words, that approach does not allow to record a progress in the peace process.
The parties have also exchanged views on the agenda of Armenia-EU partnership and reflected on urgent regional and international issues.
