Delegation led by Armenian army chief visits Georgia
A delegation led by Chief of General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, Lieutenant-General Artak Davtyan has left for Georgia on a two-day official visit.
Within the framework of the visit, the Armenian army chief on Wednesday met with the Chief of the Georgian Defense Forces, Lieutenant-General Vladimer Chachibaia, the Armenian Defense Ministry said in a press release on Thursday.
The officials discussed issues related to the defense sector, as well as prospects for cooperation in military education and military medicine. Chachibaia briefed his Armenian colleague on the ongoing reforms in the Georgian army.
After the meeting, Artak Davtyan visited the Heroes' Square in Tbilisi and laid a wreath at the memorial dedicated to the fallen Georgian soldiers.
