Armenia Airways partially restricts Iran flights amid coronavirus outbreak
Armenia Airways is partially restricting flights to Iran amid fears from the coronavirus outbreak, it said in a Facebook post on Monday.
The move comes after the Armenian government sealed the border with Iran for two weeks and limited air traffic in specific cases in an effort to guard against the new virus that has killed at least 12 people in Iran.
“We would like to inform you that our flights will be operated on Wednesday and Friday this week. With these two flights, Iranian citizens will fly from Armenia to Iran, meanwhile, Armenian citizens and holders of Armenian residency status will fly from Iran to Armenia. We apologize for the inconvenience. We will keep you informed about the upcoming flights,” the carrier said.
