Tuesday morning update on road conditions
Some roads in Armenia are closed to traffic as of 8:35am Tuesday, February 25, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
The roadways leading to Amberd Fortress and Lake Kari of Aragatsotn Province will be closed for an indefinite period of time.
Vardenis Pass is closed to all vehicles.
Snowfalls are reported in the city of Gyumri, as well as in Amasia and Ashotsk villages of Shirak Province.
Snow and snowstorm are expected in the northern regions, especially in the mountainous areas, throughout Tuesday.
According to the Department of Emergency Situations of Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Crisis Management Center (CMC) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, Stepantsminda-Larsi highway is open to all traffic.
Drivers are strongly urged to use winter tires.
