Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Palestine meet in Geneva
Foreign Minister of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, who is in Geneva to participate in the 43rd session of the UN Human Rights Council, met on Wednesday with Palestine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Riyad al-Maliki.
As the press service at the ministry reported, the ministers touched upon number of issues of bilateral agenda, stressing the need to give new impetus to the bilateral relations through practical steps. In this context ,the historical presence of the Armenia community on the holy place and its contribution to the different spheres of Palestine’s public-political life was highlighted.
Riyad al-Maliki briefed the Armenian FM on the current state of the Middle East peace process, including the recent developments and the approaches of Palestine. Minister Mnatsakanyan, in turn, presented Armenia’s position on the peace process, including on the status of Jerusalem.
The two ministers also exchanged views on international and regional issues. Mnatsakanyan presented Armenia’s principled position and approaches in the Nagorno Karabakh peace process.
