Armenian Embassy warns against travel to coronavirus-hit areas of Japan, South Korea
The Armenian Embassy to Japan warns Armenian citizens against visiting parts of Japan and South Korea affected by an outbreak of the new coronavirus amid a sharp increase in the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the countries.
In particular, Armenian citizens are advised not to travel to Hokkaido, Kanagawa, Tokyo, Ishikawa, Chiba, Wakayama and Okinawa Prefectures in Japan and the cities of Korea, Seoul, Daegu and Gwangju, as well as Gansu Province of South Korea.
Armenian citizens who are currently in Japan and South Korea or are planning to visit the countries are advised to contact the Armenia Embassy to register their contact information, the embassy said in a statement on Thursday.
“The embassy recommends following the instructions of the Armenian Ministry of Health, as well as the relevant authorities of Japan and the Republic of Korea,” the statement said.
