Friday morning update on road conditions
Some roads in Armenia are closed or difficult to pass as of 8:30am Friday, February 28, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
The roadways leading to Amberd Fortress and Lake Kari of Aragatsotn Province will be closed for an indefinite period of time.
Vardenyats Pass is closed for tailer trucks and is difficult to pass for other vehicles.
Sotk-Karvachar highway is partially covered with clear ice.
According to the Department of Emergency Situations of Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Crisis Management Center (CMC) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, Stepantsminda-Larsi highway is open to all vehicles.
Some 400 trucks are reportedly stuck on the Russian side.
Drivers are strongly urged to use winter tires.
