Snow is reported in Ashotsk and Saravan-Zanger roadway
Some roads in Armenia are closed or difficult to pass as of 10.18 am on February 29, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported. Roadways leading to Amberd fortress and lake Kari of Aragatsotn Province are going to be closed for an indefinite period of time. Vardenyats pass is closed for trailer trucks and is difficult to pass for other types of vehicles.
Black ice is formed on Sotk-Karvachar roadway, the source said.
There is snow in Ashotsk region of Shirak province and Saravan-Zanger section.
According to the Department of Emergency Situations of Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs , Stepantsminda-Larsi highway is open for all types of vehicles. Some 400 trucks are accumulated on the Russian side of the Lars checkpoint, the source added.
