Armenian parliament unanimously passes soldier support bill
The Armenian National Assembly unanimously passed a draft law on making amendments and supplements to the law on compensation of damage caused to servicemen's life or health during the defense of the country.
A total of 114 lawmakers backed the bill.
The bill proposes to expand the scope of the Military Insurance Fund beneficiaries, covering the cases of damage caused to servicemen's life or health during the adversary’s assault.
Under the current law, the fund provides compensation only to the soldiers and families of soldiers who have been wounded or killed while performing their combat duties on the contact line.
