Airlines reduce frequency of flights amid coronavirus fears, say Armenia’s aviation authorities
Taking into account the efforts to combat the coronavirus outbreak worldwide, restrictions on air traffic in various countries and commercial issues related to the reduction of passenger traffic, some airlines have decided to temporarily reduce the frequency of their flights to and from Armenia, as well as to temporarily cancel services on some routes, the Armenian Civil Aviation Committee said in a statement on Tuesday.
The committee says the airlines have informed and continue to inform passengers on cancelled flights and refunding of their tickets by e-mail or SMS and recommends them to regularly check their emails.
Also, the Civil Aviation Committee notes that its function is to ensure flight safety, adding it is necessary to contact the airlines to get information on cancelled flights, refunding or return of tickets.
