Hundreds of cops ‘attacked’ houses of Armenian ‘thief-in-law’, lawyers say
Hundreds of police officers ‘attacked’ the homes belonging to Armenian thief-in-law Aram Vardanyan, better known by the nickname ‘Vestrechi Aper’ and his relatives on Wednesday night, his lawyers Lusine Sahakyan and Yervand Varosyan said in a joint statement on Thursday.
The attack on the houses located at 17 Artsakh Street in Yerevan took place at around 2:40am, they said.
According to the statement, police officers barged into the houses, failing to present any search warrants or giving any explanations.
The lawyers state they broke the doors and windows of the houses and grabbed some items.
“Even the presence of a toddler at home has not stopped police officers from continuing to use guns, causing serious harm to the child's health,” the statement said.
A news conference on the ‘illegalities’ of police officers is expected to take place at 17/8 Artsakh Street on Thursday, at 2pm.
