Armenia’s crisis management center handles 324 emergencies in one week
The National Center for Crisis Management of Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations responded to a total of 463 calls from March 2-8, of which 324 were emergency cases.
The number included 2 rescue calls, 1 call of rockfall, 1 landslide call, 257 fire calls, 50 road traffic accidents, 1 railroad accident and 98 household calls, which affected 79 people. 5 citizens were rescued.
The crisis management center reported a total of 10 fatalities last week.
The past week also saw 10 poisoning cases affecting 18 citizens.
18 vehicles ended up stuck over the past week amid bad weather. Rescuers provided assistance to 33 citizens, taking 19 vehicles to a safe place.
The ministry urges people to be as vigilant as possible and strictly observe safety rules.
