World Bank may provide financial assistance to Armenia to combat coronavirus
Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan received on Tuesday the World Bank Regional Director for the South Caucasus Sebastian Molineus. As the government press service reported, the Country Manager of the World Bank for Armenia Sylvie Bossoutrot was present at the meeting.
The parties discussed the implementation of joint projects as well as issues related to the process of developing sector-related strategies.
The World Bank Regional Director praised Armenia’s efforts aimed at tackling the coronavirus spread and informed that the World Bank has approved various support formats of financial tools, and Armenia could benefit of them upon necessity.
Summing up the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the involvement of the World Bank in the implementation of the ongoing reforms and expressed gratitude for the cooperation.
