Court hearing postponed as Kocharyan fails to attend it due to health issues
The Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction, presided over by Judge Anna Danibekyan, had to postpone a hearing in the case involving Armenia’s second President Robert Kocharyan and three other former top officials since the ex-president failed to attend it due to health issues.
Kocharyan was hospitalized late on Sunday with fluctuating blood pressure. He is undergoing treatment at Erebouni Medical Center.
According to a notice of the hospital, Kocharyan has been diagnosed with acute vestibulopathy, third degree pulmonary hypertension, arrhythmia, increased risk for coronary heart disease with frequent ventricular extrasystoles.
His transfer to the courtroom is not advisable at the moment.
The next court hearing is scheduled for March 17, at 1pm.
