Armenian health authorities urge citizens returning from some countries to self-isolate
Due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in the world, the Armenian Health Ministry calls on citizens to avoid traveling to Italy, France, Germany, Spain, Japan, China, Iran and South Korea.
Citizens are advised to plan business trips to those countries in case of extreme need.
Citizens returning from those countries are urged to avoid contact with other people and self-isolate for 14 days.
The ministry calls on employers to ensure that citizens returning from those countries work from home.
It also warns against organizing international events in Armenia which could feature participants from those countries.
“If you returned to Armenia over the past 14 days and have symptoms such as fever, cough and breathing problems, call the around the clock call center at 060 83 83 00 or call the Health Ministry’s hotline at 8003,” the ministry said.
The health authorities also urge people to avoid contact with patients with respiratory infections or wear masks while doing so, regularly wash their hands and seek medical care in the event of having flu-like symptoms.
