Defense minister appoints first woman to serve as his press secretary
Armenian Minister of Defense Davit Tonoyan signed a decree on appointing Shushan Stepanyan as his press secretary, the press service at the ministry reported. Stepanyan becomes the first-ever female press secretary of the defense minister. She has served in the Armed Forces of Armenia since 2019 and holds the military rank of Major.
Shushan Stepanyan is the daughter of Karabakh war veteran Shahen Stepanyan who had been awarded Combat Cross” 2nd degree medal of the Republic of Artsakh.
To remind, former press secretary Artsrun Hovhannisyan resigned days ago to continue his service as a military educator in the Armed Forces.
