PM Pashinyan, his wife to be tested for coronavirus
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his wife Anna Hakobyan will be tested for coronavirus on Saturday, the PM informed during a Facebook live late on Friday. Pashinyan said that he and his wife Anna Hakobyan made the decision to self-isolate following the reports alleging the Brazilian first lady had tested positive for coronavirus. The reports, however, turned out to be false and were officially refuted.
It is noted that Anna Hakobyan met with the Brazilian first lady on March 7 during a trip to South America.
As the PM explained although there were no virus symptoms the decision was made for precautionary reasons. Following the consultation with the minister of health they will be tested for the virus on Saturday to make sure everything is normal. “The specialists assure the possibility of being infected is low if not zero,” the PM said.
