April war participant Karen Davtyan would have turned 39 today
Today, March 16, marks the birthday anniversary of Karen Davtyan, an Armenian contract soldier who participated in the 2016 April war unleashed by Azerbaijan against Artsakh. The hero soldier would have turned 39 today.
Karen was a career officer from the city of Vanadzor, Lori Province, who served as a contract soldier for 12 years.
A father of two, he worked two jobs to make ends meet. Karen was also a baker at a local bakery.
Karen Davtyan passed away on the night of April 6 in a snow avalanche in Karvachar while returning from the frontlines.
