17.03.2020: Armenia reports 12 more coronavirus cases
Armenia has confirmed 12 new coronavirus infections, bringing the total number of cases to 64 in the country.
Health Ministry spokesperson Alina Nikoghosyan said on Facebook that half of the new cases are linked to the Echmiadzin incident, while the other half to the cases reported at a manufacturing company in Yerevan.
The ministry again urges citizens to avoid contact with patients with respiratory infections or wear face masks while doing so, regularly wash their hands and seek medical care in the event of having flu-like symptoms.
Armenia declared a 30-day state of emergency in the country on Monday in an effort to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus.
