Armenia, Iran to allow shipments of certain raw materials
The Armenian Ministry of Economy reports that certain exceptions will be applied to the transpiration of goods of economic significance between Armenia and Iran starting Wednesday.
Due to the necessity of defining the extra goods and procedures for their transportation within the framework of humanitarian assistance, the Armenian government has amended its February 24 decision to permit the transportation of certain raw materials between Armenia and Iran.
The shipment procedures will be carried out on the territory between the administrative premises of Meghri border crossing and the bridge under the supervision of the State Revenue Committee, the Ministry of Health and the National Security Service.
Businesses operating under these commodity codes are required to apply to the State Revenue Committee, which, with the consent of the Ministry of Economy, authorizes the transportation of goods.
Earlier on March 12, the government allowed the shipments of some medical products, including face masks, medical safety goggles, single-use chemical protection coveralls, anti-plague suits, surgical gloves, etc.
