Egypt announces flight suspension from 19 to 31 March
Egypt has taken tougher measures to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus after the number of confirmed cases has risen to 166 with four deaths in the country, the local sources reported.
Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly said on Monday his government will suspend all passenger flights to and from Egyptian airports. The flights will be suspended starting from March 19 noon until March 31," he said in a televised press conference, adding that the suspension period would be also used to sterilize hotels and tourist attractions in the country.
In light of the recent decision, Armenia’s foreign ministry released a statement that the scheduled flight to Yerevan will be made on March 19 at 02.59 from Sharm El Sheikh. The ministry once again called on all Armenian citizens to contact the Armenian Embassy to arrange their return. The flight will be operated by Air Cairo.
