Teenage girl beaten up in Armenian city remains in intensive care unit
The 13-year-old girl beaten up in Armenia’s second largest city of Gyumri remains in the intensive care unit of the Sourb Astvatsamayr (St. Mary) Medical Center in Yerevan.
Speaking to Panorama.am, Gevord Derdzyan, the spokesman of the hospital, said she is already in a stable condition and is able to speak.
The teenage girl is now able to slightly move her left hand and leg which she failed to do before.
“She is under the supervision of doctors of the Sourb Astvatsamayr Medical Center. Psychologists of the hospital continue working with the child,” he said.
The girl and her 43-year-old mother were brutally beaten by a Gyumri man on March 5. The woman died, while her daughter was taken to hospital with multiple injuries. She was in a critical condition.
