Armenian deputy PM urges grocery stores, supermarkets to set up senior shopping hours over coronavirus
Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan, who is the chief coordinator of the 30-day state of emergency declared in the country on March 16, calls on grocery stores and supermarkets to reserve shopping times exclusively for senior citizens who are at higher risk for the novel coronavirus.
“I urge grocery stores and supermarkets to dedicate the morning shopping hours from 10am to 12pm for the elderly from 24 March,” he said on Facebook.
“I would like to ask citizens of other age groups not to go shopping during these hours and thus reduce contact and preserve the health of our senior citizens.
"Thank you! Stay healthy!” the deputy PM wrote.
