Pashinyan presents Armenia’s two ‘key achievements’ in international rankings
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan presented "two key achievements” of the country in international rankings in a Facebook live on Thursday.
Armenia recorded high democratization figures in 2019 against the backdrop of rising authoritarianism in the world, according to the 2020 Democracy Report published by the Varieties of Democracy, the premier said.
Pashinyan next referred to the 2020 Index of Economic Freedom, highlighting this year Armenia has changed its status in the index.
“Armenia’s economy has been rated mostly free in 2020, whereas it was included among moderately free economies previously. Armenia now ranks 34th against 47th in the past,” he said.
