Armenian Defense Ministry: No coronavirus cases reported in frontline military units
No coronavirus cases have been reported in the frontline military units of the Armenian army, Defense Ministry spokeswoman Shushan Stepanyan said in a Facebook live on Friday.
“The quarantined servicemen are from a military unit not involved in combat tasks. At the moment we have no cases of coronavirus in the military units of the frontline. The situation is under control,” she said.
The live video was broadcast from the location were servicemen who have had contacts with the infected soldiers are quarantined. Some of them said they are feeling well and are in high spirits, wishing speedy recovery to their fellow soldiers and all those infected with the virus.
A total of five soldiers of the Armenian Armed Forces have tested positive for COVID-19. None of the infected servicemen has pneumonia. Only one of them has fever, while the other four have no coronavirus symptoms at all.
