A member of Armenian boxing team tested positive for coronavirus
One of the members of the Armenian boxing team has tested positive for coronavirus, the Boxing Federation of Armenia reported on Saturday. According to the source, the team has recently participated in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic boxing qualifiers in London.
“All members of the Armenia delegation who returned from London are currently under the doctors’ care. People who left for London with the Armenian delegation and have not been part of the delegation have tested positive for coronavirus,” the Federation said in a Facebook post. Later the statement was updated to inform that there is infected person in the boxing team as well.
To remind, as a result of the Olympic boxing qualifiers in London Armenian boxer Koryun Soghomonyan (52kg) became the fourth participant from Armenia to take part in the Olympic Games.
